The purchase of our products is the beginning on a long-lasting relationship with our customers. Whether it's help planning your collection, or a custom house portrait for a dear friend, we're here to help. We encourage you to reach out to us for any reason, but in the meantime, here is a list of our most frequently asked questions with some helpful answers.
What is the production lead time?
Our turnaround time varies throughout the year. Please always contact our office by emailing email@example.com to confirm lead time if product needed in less than 5 weeks. All of our products are custom made/made to order pieces so the typical turnaround time is 4-5 weeks (after artwork has been approved) from time of order to shipping.
An order confirmation is sent the next business day confirming that we received the order along with the estimated ship out dates. Orders do not ship in less than 4 weeks unless it is RUSHED (see below for time sensitive and rush order information).
First round rendering(s) of commissioned artwork will be received within 10-15 business days from payment date of 50% deposit and agreement upon piece being commissioned. Turnaround for additional requests to update or change artwork is typically 5 business days.
Is RUSH production available?
We are usually able to RUSH your order (ships 2 weeks from order date) for an additional 20% of the total order. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm that the RUSH option is available before placing your order. We will also confirm costs at upon confirming the option.
What are your products made of?
Ceramics- All ceramics (unless otherwise noted) are dishwasher, oven and food safe. Our ceramics are decorated with ceramic decals - these are hand applied in our Louisville, Kentucky studio, and then they are fired in the kiln. They are an heirloom quality and will not fade with time.
Dish towels- Our dishtowels are a cotton linen blend, they are printed and finished in Illinois. They are finished via direct to garment printing. Recomended care- cold wash. Either line dry or low tumble dry.
Original paintings- Our original paintings are done with watercolor and gouache on 100% cotton rag cold press watercolor paper
Prints- Our prints are all a high quality art print, whether you order (1) or (1,000).
*PLEASE NOTE THAT NO TWO MAIZIE CLARKE PRODUCTS ARE ALIKE. THE MAJORITY OF THESE PRODUCTS ARE HAND FINISHED, THEREFORE, WILL VARY.
When will I be charged?
We invoice at the time of your order. Payment terms are Net 30. You do have the option to pay online by credit card or by check. If paying by check, please remit check to: Maizie Clarke LLC, 1225 Wolfe Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40213.
For orders requiring custom artwork: client will be charged a 50% deposit upon the commission of the artwork. The remaining 50% is due upon written approval of artwork from client (can be paid at time of product order if within Net 30 payment terms). Please let us know if you require different payment terms.
Do you have a catalog?
We offer an online catalog that can be accessed through your company’s registered portal. To register your company and set up your portal, please click here.
How do I set up a wholesale account?
Upon registering your company via the portal, you will be asked to provide us with a copy of your business license or tax ID along with a signed copy of our Terms and Conditions. This can be emailed to email@example.com or uploaded on the portal. We will also request your zip code to approve your location as we do offer exclusivity in select markets.
How do I place my first order?
All first orders must have the signed copy of the Terms and Conditions along with a copy of your business license to process your order. We cannot process your order if these documents are not submitted along with your order.
Minimum opening amount is $250.00 (before shipping. Does not include commissioned artwork fee). Please fill out the Order Form and the Terms and Conditions completely.
How do I go about placing a re-order?
All re-orders must be in writing which can be placed through your portal on our website or you can request an order form by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We do not take phone orders. Minimum reorders are $250.00 (before shipping).
How is my order shipped?
All orders are shipped USPS unless specified otherwise. Expedited shipping is available upon the customers request and at the cost of the customer. Maizie Clarke determines the method of shipping based on factors such as weight and volume. Typical shipment fees can be estimated at 10% of total order. Unauthorized refusals of shipments will result in payment of all shipping charges and a re-stocking fee may apply. We do not ship to P.O. boxes. Drop-off available within a 10 mile radius of Maizie Clarke headquarters for a $15 flat fee.
What is your return policy?
All returns must be authorized by Maizie Clarke with the issuance of a Return Merchandise Authorization number. We must be notified of any defects, missing items, over shipments and damages the first 5 (five) business days of receiving the order. After the 5 (five) business days have passed, the customer will be responsible for returning the items back to Maizie Clarke and any shipping fees and re-stocking fees that may apply with no exceptions. Any items returned without a valid RMA# will be refused and all shipping charges will be the responsibility of the sender. Any unauthorized items that are returned with authorized items will not receive credit. If an item is reported to be defective and upon authorized return is deemed by Maizie Clarke to be of the first quality, a re-stocking fee may apply and applicable shipping charges will be applied. Returns for first quality merchandise are not accepted.
Are your designs original? Can I take my artwork elsewhere?
Yes, all designs are original artwork of the artist, Maizie Clarke. Reproducing Maizie's designs without written permission is prohibited.
Do we have guaranteed exclusivity on artwork or within a market?
If you commission your artwork for the quoted fee, your artwork is exclusive to you. Your commissioned artwork will not be distributed or sold anywhere else without a signed, written release. However, all rights do remain with Maizie Clarke, LLC and can be used at the company's discretion for marketing purposes. All reproductions, reprints, etc will be ordered through Maizie Clarke, LLC.
